The annual 2023 CGU meeting

From Oct 13th to Oct 17th, the GRC team went to Zhuhai to attend the annual CGU meeting. Six students shared their work during this conference.

Yang Siyuan presented her work on modeling the postseismic deformation of the 2004 Mw9.2 Sumatra and 2005 Mw8.6 Nias earthquakes.

Wang Kai presented his research on the 2016 Mw7.8 Kaikoura earthquake.

Zhang Jian studied rheological properties of the lithosphere and upper mantle as well as afterslip of crustal faults and megathrust from 2018 Mw7.9 Alaska earthquake.

Ye Feifan looked into the block motion of the Tibetan Plateau.

Wang Zhihao presented her work on modeling the 1950 Mw8.4 Chayu earthquake.
